ARK

That stands for Animals Reaching Kids!

"They have a camel!" This is one of the unusual but true statements you may hear when someone is talking about Crystal Cove Community Church.  We have a camel, donkeys and a number of other animals that are all part of our ministry called ARK.

Transient

ARK ministry seeks to reach the hearts of those in need of the unconditional love animals give, thus pointing them to the ultimate love God has given us in sending His Son, Jesus.

ARK is designed to allow students of all ages to learn to handle animals. The basics of good training are applied: consistency, patience, positive reinforcement, reward and self-esteem gained by the ability to maintain an obedient partnership with the animal. Once students have become proficient in training the animals, they become volunteers who then train new students.

Students learn to groom the animals, practice animal health maintenance and do basic clicker training. In clicker training, a target is used to focus the animal's attention. A treat is given when the animal touches the target. The clicker tells the animal the precise moment he has done the required task. This training allows the students to participate in our outdoor productions like the Living Nativity at Christmas.

THE COVE KIDS

THE COVE KIDS

At Crystal Cove, we’re well aware that our children will be the next generation to impact the world, and we have a responsibility to raise them according to God’s Word. We have a group of volunteers dedicated to teaching our kids what it means to love God and follow Jesus with their lives so that even at an early age they can be a light to the world around them.

Here’s how your children can get involved in ministry at Crystal Cove:

Kids Connection (Sundays @ 9 am)--While parents are in Growth Connection, kids have their own time together to learn the Bible in a way that’s interesting to them.

Children's Church (during the morning worship service)--A time for the kids to get together to play games, do crafts, sing songs, and learn from God’s Word, all done in a way that nurtures their spiritual growth and gets them excited about following Jesus.

Family Fun Night--A few times throughout the year we host events aimed at offering a positive environment for families to have fun together and get to know us as a local church. These events include our Back to School Night and Trunk or Treat.

LIFEHOUSE

Student Ministry

Student Ministry at Crystal Cove includes students in grades 6-12.

I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:10

Jesus is in the hope-giving and life-giving business. In fact not only does Jesus give life, He is life (Jn. 14:6)! We are invited to experience life and share it with others. That's why the Student Ministry at Crystal Cove is called LIFEHOUSE.

LIFEHOUSE (during the Sunday morning worship service)

After the musical worship set, Middle School and Senior High students are invited to a time for friendship, teaching and more. It's a great place to get to know other students and to learn more of Jesus' love.
